Kostas Deledas is a fisherman who lives in his great grandmother's house at a coastal village of Nea Fokea, Halkidiki, in northern Greece. He has never moved away from the village and his only occupation is fishing. He fishes from the age of thirteen and his specialty is squid fishing and the longline fishing technique. Due to technical problems in his boat, he is temporarily fishing in his childhood friend Dimitris' boat.
