December 2010 : The storm of the Arab Spring starts in Tunisia. Algeria, Libya and Egypt will follow the road of revolution. Morocco stays out of the dramatic events, except some minor demonstrations which led to governmental changes.
April 2013 : Morocco is the only stability pole in Northern Africa. Almost three years after, Morocco continues the way to modernization according to the western standards, trying to keep a balance between the modern and the traditional face, a face which refuses to abandon its strong Islamic traditions and lifestyle. Glamorous shopping centers next to ancient medinas, yuppies dressed in expensive suits next to traditional muslims is a common daily life scene in the streets of Moroccan cities.
