The summer palace of the former Greek royal family in the Tatoi area, near Athens, is part of modern Greece's dark history. Contemporary Greek history is buried under many intriguing assays and political aphorisms. Like these ruins that are buried under the endless expansionism of the natural element on human works. It is the unswerving fate of every story that is not heard to roll on the mud of oblivion. The collective consciousness is an omit shallow affair about hallowed symbols of the nation. Not hidden skeletons in the closet.
So, skeletons and closets, ruined palaces wrapped in silence of leafy ivy, doors ajar that creak,
untouched tombs of kings and of toddlers in the darkest sides of the forest, deserted gardens with marble stairs leading to shady paths, all make up the perfect scenery of a well made spooky movie, if we Greeks had more imagination to conjure up stories, rather than a sick desire to constantly be a part of History.
