Yannis Drakoulidis was born in Kozani, Greece. He studied photography at the Arts Institute of Bournemouth in England. In 2004 he moved back to Greece and started working as a freelance photographer in the editorial field, shooting mainly portraits, journalistic and travel stories for Greek magazines. His professional practice also includes collaborations in music, architecture and publishing. He lives and works in Athens.
