Images from the year 1992, when Greek politicians and Greek TV channels revolted people to demonstrate on the streets yelling the slogan "Macedonia is Greek." The mobilization of the world was unprecedented, since up schools participated in the rally with the blessing of the Greek Orthodox Church and of the then government. The story of the time indicated that nearly half a million people from all over Greece gathered in the Pedion Tou Areos Park that day, at December 10, 1992, and this was the forerunner of even larger rally held two months after at Thessaloniki, capital of the Greek Macedonia territory, second largest city in Greece.
