THE CIRCUS
Photos: Spyros Staveris
People of the circus will always look in our minds like mythical monsters, like creatures living at the borderline between fiction and reality. They are Nomads of the imaginary, traffickers of risky dreams, people who converse with wild beasts, who bounce smiling on a tight rope, sprinkling with glitter their quirky way of being.
The photographer Spyros Staveris offer us such images. He is acting like a shadow that penetrates their secret world with mood not to reveal some prosaic reality, but to capture on film this magical mist that surrounds them. The mystery intensifies, the magic is present.
